Privacy Policy
How we handle your data — including data from the platforms you connect.
Last updated: 21 July 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Clearview ("Clearview", "we", "us") collects, uses, stores and protects information when you use our marketing analytics and audit platform at app.clearviewltd.io (the "Service"). Clearview is operated from the United Kingdom.
1. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Account details: name, email address, organisation name and role.
- Business profile details you add for the clients or websites you manage.
- Support and communication content when you contact us.
Information from platforms you connect
When you connect a marketing platform (for example Google Analytics, Google Business Profile, Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn, or an email marketing provider), you authorise us to access that platform's data on a read-only basis, solely to display reporting and audit insights inside your dashboard. Depending on the platform, this may include performance metrics such as spend, impressions, clicks, conversions, conversion value, campaign and keyword data, page and profile engagement, and related reporting fields. We do not create, edit, or manage campaigns, ads, or accounts on any connected platform.
Information collected automatically
- Basic usage and device information needed to operate and secure the Service.
- Cookies strictly necessary for authentication and session management.
2. How we use your information
- To provide the Service: retrieving, transforming and displaying your connected platforms' data as reporting and audit insights.
- To authenticate you and keep your account secure.
- To provide support and respond to your requests.
- To maintain, improve and troubleshoot the Service.
Each user only ever sees data for the accounts and business profiles they are authorised to access.
3. Google user data — Limited Use
Clearview's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Specifically, in relation to data obtained through Google APIs (including Google Analytics, Google Business Profile and Google Ads):
- We use the data only to provide and improve the reporting and audit features that are visible to you, the account owner, within your dashboard.
- We do not transfer the data to others except as necessary to provide or improve the Service, to comply with applicable law, or as part of a merger or acquisition with your notice.
- We do not use the data for serving advertisements.
- We do not allow humans to read the data unless we have your affirmative consent for specific messages, it is necessary for security purposes (such as investigating abuse), to comply with applicable law, or the data is aggregated and used for internal operations in line with applicable requirements.
- We do not sell the data.
4. Third-party platforms
The platforms you connect are controlled by their own providers under their own privacy policies and terms. Your data on those platforms remains governed by them; we access it only with your authorisation and only as described above. You can revoke our access at any time by disconnecting the integration in the Service or through the platform's own security settings.
5. How we share information
We do not sell your data or the data we access from connected platforms, and we do not share it for advertising. We share information only:
- With service providers who host and operate the Service on our behalf, under confidentiality obligations.
- Where required by law, regulation, or valid legal process.
- To protect the rights, safety and security of our users and the Service.
6. Data retention
We keep data only for as long as it is needed to provide the Service:
- Account information (name, email, organisation, business profiles) is retained for as long as your account is active.
- Access and refresh tokens for connected platforms are retained only while the integration is connected, and are deleted immediately when you disconnect it.
- Reporting data retrieved from connected platforms is cached only briefly (typically up to one hour) to reduce API calls, and is not retained as a long-term copy.
- Support communications are retained for as long as needed to resolve your request and to keep records required by law.
Where we are required to retain certain records by law (for example, billing records), we retain them only for the period required.
7. Data deletion — how to delete your data
You are in control of your data and can delete it at any time:
- Disconnect a single platform. In the Service, go to Settings → Integrations and disconnect the platform. This immediately deletes the stored tokens and any cached reporting data for that connection. You may also revoke Clearview's access directly from the platform's own security settings (for example, your Google Account's "Third-party apps with account access" page).
- Delete your entire account and all associated data. Email us at info@clearviewltd.io with the subject "Data deletion request" from the email address on your account. We will verify the request and permanently delete your account and all associated data within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain specific records.
Once deleted, data cannot be recovered. We will confirm by email when your deletion request has been completed.
8. Security
We protect your data with appropriate technical and organisational measures. Access and refresh tokens for connected platforms are encrypted at rest, are never displayed, and are not used for any purpose other than retrieving the reporting data you have authorised.
9. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal data, and to object to processing or request portability. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@clearviewltd.io. If you are in the UK or EEA, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
10. International transfers
We operate from the United Kingdom and may process data in other countries through our service providers. Where data is transferred internationally, we use appropriate safeguards as required by applicable law.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you of material changes.
12. Contact us
